LOIKE, HELLO.

Hello!

2 weeks at Digipen feels like first few weeks of FYP, but whatever. Had my first life drawing session in a long while yesterday. Dilip, Jazno and Woody were there. So awesome.

Here's my sad attempt after 2 years of absence from life drawing.

Fuck Yeah

I look at my sketchbook. My drawings of people are getting better, but the rest are as nooby as my Year 1 renders.

Fuck yeah.

My vehicles all look like cartoons.

Fuck yeah.

My environment perspective is haywire.

Fuck yeah.

And I'll keep trying.

Fuck yeah.

And this shark won't leave me alone.

Hello Degree

When I started this blog, I was 18. Now I have come back to dig it out of the limbo of abandoned blogspots (bless Google accounts), and I have to admit the nostalgic idiotic posts of my barely legal self amused me quite a bit.

What has changed? I'm not sure. I think I'm more mature now, more social, more hardworking, more outgoing. I swear I've gone to more parties these last 2 years than all put together. Hur-derp!

Alright. The purpose of this revival is to post my future art stuff here. I will be starting school in Digipen Institute of Technology soon, and currently in the midst of completing this sketchbook assignment they sent us along with the letter of acceptance. I am feeling the love.

Anyway here are some snippets of my sketchbook so far. To see how I evolved over the years, go here. I'll probably not update there anymore, because majority of the CA regulars have jumped ship because of some major meltdown previously. But it's an awesome place for reference.

For now I'm widely experimenting with traditional media as of the moment, such as pastels and watercolor. And charcoal. I didn't realised how much I missed using it as a drawing medium.

Okay till the next post.
